How Do I Create a Business Case?

Generate a Business Case AI content section from your calls, notes and documents

Written by Nadav Weiss

A Business Case is an AI content section. AI writes it from your calls, notes and documents, you review and refine the draft, and then you add it to the Room as a text section.

Prerequisites & Requirements

  • Device: a Business Case can be generated on desktop only. AI content sections are not supported on mobile.

  • Plans and permissions: see Prerequisites & Requirements in AI-Generated Content.

How do I create a Business Case?

To create a Business Case:

  1. In your Room, click Add Section (+), open the AI sections tab and click Business Case. A drawer opens.

  2. Add your sources: free text, PDF files, Library files or Gong recordings. The limits for each source are listed in AI-Generated Content.

  3. Set Client Type and Length.

  4. Click Generate, review the draft, and click Refine if you want changes.

  5. Click Add to room.

Which sources and settings work best for a Business Case?

A Business Case is strongest when it is built from what the client actually said. We recommend combining your notes with Gong recordings of the calls in which the client described their problem and goals. For a Business Case going to a CFO, choose Detailed length.

After you add the Business Case

After it is added, the Business Case is a regular text section. You can edit it in the Room like any other section, and you can save it in a Template for future deals. It is no longer connected to the generator, so to regenerate it, create a new Business Case.

Limitations

Behavior of the drawer, including what happens if you refresh the page, is listed under Limitations in AI-Generated Content.

Troubleshooting & FAQ

Will my client see the Business Case before I add it to the Room?

No. Your client sees the Business Case only after you click Add to room, and never sees the generator or your sources.

Can I create a Business Case on my phone?

No. AI content sections, including Business Case, are not supported on mobile. Generate the Business Case on desktop.
