An Executive Summary is an AI content section that gives your client's decision makers a short overview of the deal. AI writes it from your calls, notes and documents, you review and refine the draft, and then you add it to the Room as a text section.
Prerequisites & Requirements
Device: an Executive Summary can be generated on desktop only. AI content sections are not supported on mobile.

How do I create an Executive Summary?
To create an Executive Summary:
In your Room, click Add Section (+), open the AI sections tab and click Executive Summary. A drawer opens.
Add your sources: free text, PDF files, Library files or Gong recordings. The limits for each source are listed in AI-Generated Content.
Set Client Type and Length.
Click Generate, review the draft, and click Refine if you want changes.
Click Add to room.
Which sources and settings work best for an Executive Summary?
Executives usually skim, so we recommend choosing Concise length for an Executive Summary. Combine your notes with the calls and documents that cover the client's goals, so the summary reflects what matters to them.
After you add the Executive Summary
After it is added, the Executive Summary is a regular text section. You can edit it in the Room like any other section, and you can save it in a Template for future deals. It is no longer connected to the generator, so to regenerate it, create a new Executive Summary.

Troubleshooting & FAQ
Will my client see the Executive Summary before I add it to the Room?
No. Your client sees the Executive Summary only after you click Add to room, and never sees the generator or your sources.
Can I create an Executive Summary on my phone?
No. AI content sections, including Executive Summary, are not supported on mobile. Generate the Executive Summary on desktop.
